Had to fo, but need barrel advice

Midway had this VLTOR VIS 2A https://www.midwayusa.com/product/894022/vltor-vis-upper-receiver-with-integral-free-float-quad-rail-handguard-and-combination-forward-assist-shell-deflector-assembled-ar-15-matte on sale for $261.74.  I was looking at SBR uppers for my stamp, mostly MK18 Mod 0 clones, but this thing seemed like a good deal.  A day later and it's now listed at $481.46... :o  So now I await my prize in transit!

However, the 2A appears to be 10" long, which means my original thought of a 10.3" Daniel Defense barrel are probably not gonna work if I want to eventually run a suppressor on it.  Can anyone tell me what the minimum barrel length I can use with this and still have room for a can?  11.3?

I think roughly 3/4 an inch would be ok. Also depends on your can? The muzzle device might give you enough room if you do 10.3 barrel.

Yeah, the VLTOR website lists the handguard length at 9.91" and an overall length of 17.5".

I don't have a 10.5" barrel or I'd just see what it looks like.  Guess I'll wait until it arrives and take it to a smith.
