When I shot that single smaller boar tonight I could hear the hogs feeding at one of the other bait sites.
New trail cam pics show anothe large group.  Should be able to pile up at least one more tomorrow.

Not sure if I want to thermal video it over dad's shoulder or grab my gun and go for a double.

If you look at trail cam pics, the daylight hog pic has a split in his ear.
Same as the left hog in the back of the utv.  That one was roaming around the property all day long, rolling around in every wallow.
He's also the bigger hog in video 36 running the deer off.   If you could get audio it would pick up his growling at the deer to drive them away.

Dad had a huge group in front of him tonight.  I got the action on video.
No pigs were killed during this, but 2 were injured by 300blk.  Haven't had great luck with the 300blk killing these hogs reliably.  Pigs are tough.

Sat out on a friends beaver pond, hoping to help him out by shooting some beavers last night. He tore the dam up with his tractor and I was waiting for them to come fix it.
That was unsuccessful, but this old boy was going across the cattle pasture so I switched gears and it became a hog hunt.

I'd agree.
With the ear or high neck shot this 300blk Sierra Gameking reloads are doing fine.
Shoulder shots on the big ones have resulted in pigs running wounded onto the neighbors.

The 6.8 Nosler Accubond has been 100% so far.

Good to know on the 6.8, wonder if the 6.5 Grendel would be similar I'd assume so. Need to hit you up for some options for going to Oklahoma this year or next as I'd like to do something similar to the hunt you did.

Nice cutters on that one pig.   :)

I had similar results a few weeks ago with my 300blk.  Night hunting under a solar light and silhouette shooting.  I held under the ear and it drop squealing and flopping, as soon as I did a follow up shot the hog jump up and ran away full speed.  Could not find 1 drop of blood.  110g Hornady vmax out of a 12.5 suppressed ar. 100yds.
